Moho | Leonardo AI | Premiere
It lives in the basement...and has quite the appetite. I was always excited to experiment with 2D animation but I'm not much of an artist. I can sketch cartoons just fine but animating them is on a whole other level. I decided to play to strengths instead...Photoshop.
I came up with this creepy quickie to experiment with Moho software. It's incredibly powerful and a lot of fun to use. I watching their tutorial series on YouTube and then dove headfirst into animating 2D images. I used Leonardo AI to compile illustrations based on my storyboard and prepared them for Moho in Photoshop. This style is 100% inspired by the mad genius, David Firth.
What's great about this project is that every shot uses a different technique from rigging to mesh warping to particles to working with cameras. It was also a great education in navigating the Moho menus and timeline. Definitely a fun detour from 3D animation but, yeah, it requires a whole new way of looking at storytelling.
